What is the Cass Tech Hall of Fame (CTHOF)?
It is a webiste honoring the famous and/or successful graduates of Detroit's Cass Technical High School.
What is a member?
There are three (3) types of members in the CTHOF:
1) Celebrities 2) Nominees and 3) Honorable Mention. Celebrites, Nominees and Honorable Mentions ARE ALL OFFICIAL MEMBERS OF THE CTHOF.
What is a celebrity member?
A celebrity is a Cass Tech Graduate who has achieved fame in some industry. Some are household names, while others are highly prominent in their respective fields. Celebrities are full members of the CTHOF.
What is a nominated member?
A nominee is someone who has been recommended for inclusion in the CTHOF. After the webmistress does her research, nominated members are added as full members of the CTHOF.
What is a honorable mention member?
Honorables are CT grads who have achieved success in areas ranging from, music to medicine. Some have achieved local notoriety through public office or the judicial system. Some are less well-known, but very accomplished on both the local and international levels. Honorables are full members of the CTHOF.
How many members are in the CTOF?
There are currently 130 members in the CTHOF. That number will grow as graduates, both past and future, continue to leave their mark after walking the hallowed halls of the green and white.
How can I nominate someone for the CTHOF?
You may send an e-mail to the webmistress at ctfame80@yahoo.com. Give the person's name and accomplishment(s). Photos and links are helpful, but not required.
How long has the CTHOF website existed?
The Cass Tech Hall of Fame was founded in February 2002.
Who created the CTHOF website?
The CTHOF was created by a 1980 graduate of Cass Tech who was amazed at the number of highly successful graduates the school has produced.
Who is Cass Technical High School named after?
Cass Tech is named after Lewis Cass, military and civil Governor of the Michigan Territory for 18 years (1813 to 1831).
