After graduating from Cass Tech, the then Mary Jean Tomlin majored in pre-med at Wayne State University before embarking on a successful career on television, the big screen and stage. One of the premiere comediennes of the 20th and 21st centuries, the former CT cheerleader has won two Tony Awards, five Emmys, two Cable Ace Awards, one Grammy and one Oscar nomination.
Lily's movie credits include Nine to Five, The Incredible Shrinking Woman, And The Band Played On and Tea with Mussolini. Her TV appearances include Laugh-In, Saturday Night Live, Roseanne, The X Files and Frasier. Ever the master of disguises, her characters range from Ernestine the Operator ("One Ringy-Dingy, Two Ringy-Dingy") to 5-1/2 year-old Edith Ann.
