Believe it or not, funny man David Alan Grier began his career as a dramatic actor. After graduating from Cass Tech, then the University of Michigan, Grier earned his Masters Degree from the Yale School of Drama. He started his acting career in the theatre, doing Shakespeare of all things. But it wasn't long before Grier found his true calling -- comedy.
He is most noted for his performances on "In Living Color", but his resume includes roles in "Jumanji", "Boomerang" and "Blankman" to name a few. Most recently, he was the star in the NBC series "DAG" (his initials). Recently he was in the cast of ABC's Life with Bonnie. We are certain to hear and see more of David Alan Grier.
