After graduating from Cass Tech, Ed Gordon attended Western Michigan University, where he majored in communications and political science. He later served as an unpaid intern at WTVS Channel 56 in Detroit. That humble beginning eventually landed him a position at BET where he eventually became one of the most well-respected figures in the U.S. media.
